Drop Off or Mail In the Global Week of Action Petition

Push for clean energy by delivering a hard copy of the petition to your mayor or local leader.
If you'd rather mail the petition than drop it off at your local government office, print out the petition following Step Two below and drop it in the mailbox. Also remember to take a photo and send it to us following Step Four.
Step One – Logistics
- Locate the address and phone number of your city government’s main building by looking on its website or doing a Google search.
- Find out when the office building is open by looking on the city website or calling.
- (optional) Find out about the building’s accessibility features by looking on the website or calling.
- (optional) Call the main office number to let staff know that you would like to deliver a petition. You can ask them how they'd like to receive the petition, or if someone would meet with you briefly to talk about clean energy solutions.
Step Two – Prepare
- Download the petition and signatures here to print or put on a USB drive.
- OR download and print a flyer with the QR code here, which will lead to the petition and signatures.
- Note how many people from your area signed the petition here.
- Review the talking points.
- (optional) Print out a sign or make your own.
Step Three – Delivery
- Take a picture outside the building of you holding up the petition and/or a sign.
- Drop off the petition at the reception desk or ask if staff can call a city leader or their staff to accept the petition. Introduce yourself and briefly explain what the petition is, why you are delivering it, and who should receive it (refer to talking points. You may need to provide your contact information so staff can follow up with you.
- (optional) Take a picture inside with whomever is receiving the petition. Be sure to ask if taking a picture is OK first.
