Stop the NESE Pipeline Now!
The Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) pipeline is a $1 billion project that would carry about 400 million cubic feet of fossil gas a day from Pennsylvania across New Jersey, and under Raritan Bay into NY. New Jersey rejected the project’s water permit in 2020, then approved it in late 2025. On Sept. 8, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit threw out that permit and sent it back to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for another look.
