(Washington, DC) — The following is a statement from The Climate Reality Project President and CEO Kenneth Berlin on Pope Francis’ remarks to Congress. Mr. Berlin also delivered these remarks at the Climate Justice Rally today on the National Mall.

"We know that climate change is the moral challenge of our time. Together, we need to make sure world leaders know it too and understand Pope Francis’ message that we all have an obligation to take action. We can’t let complacency or politics stand in the way of progress.

"We stand with Pope Francis in telling our leaders that we have a moral imperative to act on climate change. For the sake of our families. For the sake of the most vulnerable. For the sake of the beautiful planet we share.”
