Statement From Ken Berlin, Climate Reality President & CEO, on the Moving Forward Act

“The Climate Reality Project commends the House of Representatives for passing the Moving Forward Act, a bill that prioritizes climate-safe, clean, and resilient national infrastructure. 

“From a crucial extension of renewable energy tax credits, to a robust investment in mass transit, to important incentives to increase the adoption of zero emissions vehicles, this bill is an important step in the right direction. We are also pleased that this bill includes much-needed investments in healthcare, housing, and safe drinking and wastewater to protect vulnerable frontline communities living with systemic racism and neglect, including rampant pollution of their air, land, and water. 

“Finally, we want to specifically thank Representative Debbie Dingell (D-MI) for her amendment establishing a National Climate Bank, a critical tool for addressing the climate crisis at scale, correcting environmental and economic inequities, and commercializing nascent climate technologies.”
