Statement from Ken Berlin, President & CEO of The Climate Reality Project, on the Removal of Michael Kuperberg from the U.S. Global Change Research Program

“The Trump Administration’s choice to replace the top scientist overseeing our nation’s most comprehensive report on climate change, the National Climate Assessment, with someone who rejects the accepted science of climate change is ignorant at best, and spiteful at worst. 

“Last-ditch attempts to stymie climate science will not change the fact that the American people voted in favor of science and climate action. Nor will it change the fact that over the last four years of backpedaling at the federal level, local and state governments, businesses, and institutions have taken up the mantle of climate leadership in the US. 

“The American people will continue to push forward climate action to tackle the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced and ensure a sustainable, equitable future for all.”
