Last week Climate Reality had a Twitter chat with television star and climate advocate Calum Worthy, who recently attended one of our Climate Reality Leadership Corps trainings. We know there are many of you out there who want to take action for climate solutions, but maybe you don’t know what you can do … or maybe you think one person can’t make that much of a difference.

Read about Calum’s experience and learn two ways you can start making a difference on climate today.

First, Calum attended our training with our founder and chairman, Al Gore, in Iowa on May 5-7. Anyone can apply to attend these trainings – our 7,800-plus Climate Reality Leaders range in age from 9 to 87 years old, and represent 126 countries!

On June 4, we had a Twitter chat with Calum to share his motivation to act on climate with his fans, and to let them know how they can get involved too. To start, of course, we wanted to know:

What made you want to become a Climate Reality Leader?

What was the most exciting part of the Iowa training (#CRinIowa)?

What makes climate change a personal issue for you?

What impacts have you seen in your community that remind you to #ActonClimate?

What can someone do to #ActOnClimate right now? Does it matter how old you are?

What can you do? Apply to become a Climate Reality Leader at the Canada training in Toronto (July 9-10), or sign the petition today!

Can one person make a difference in combating climate change?

Yes! Your voice matters! Join Calum in taking climate action today. Visit the Climate Reality Leadership Corps site to learn more about our next training. With a global deal to limit greenhouse gases on the table at the UN’s climate change conference in Paris this year, it's more important than ever that we build strong public support so world leaders know: the time to take climate action is now!

    Before You Go

At Climate Reality, we work hard to create high-quality educational content like blogs, e-books, videos, and more to empower people all over the world to fight for climate solutions and stand together to drive the change we need. We are a nonprofit organization that believes there is hope in unity, and that together, we can build a safe, sustainable future.

But we can't do it without your help.

If you enjoyed what you’ve just read and would like to see more, please consider making a generous gift to support our ongoing work to fight climate denial and support solutions.
