Rising temperatures and the "snapshot scam"It's a textbook denier move to ignore the big picture and focus on an extremely brief "snapshot" of time instead. A graph that clearly shows the world is warming can be broken down into arbitrary chunks of time (decades, say) that show just the opposite.

The human impact of melting glaciers: A Nepal community respondsIt was very interesting to learn how the local people perceive their risks. They are aware of the risk of floods but are not taking measures to reduce it. Many new houses are built right next to the river in very high-risk zones.
