    Dubai: What you can do

    Read this post in Arabic.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is one of the featured locations in 24 Hours of Reality.
Once you learn how the reality of climate change is impacting Dubai, here’s how you can help.

The Climate Reality Project has partnered with Goumbook, a local organization that provides consumers and businesses with the latest green news, issues, products and trends. It’s a “green directory” for the Middle East.

Today, we invite you to visit the “carbon calculator” on the Goumbook website to find out the size of your carbon footprint and review environmental tips on how to make that footprint smaller.

Want to do more? Check out their “Give a Ghaf” program and help conserve the Ghaf tree, a “symbol of the living desert.” The Ghaf grows in arid lands and helps prevent desertification. With a $5 donation, you can plant a tree online. Goumbook will take care of the tree for five years and then donate it to the local community.

    Before You Go

At Climate Reality, we work hard to create high-quality educational content like blogs, e-books, videos, and more to empower people all over the world to fight for climate solutions and stand together to drive the change we need. We are a nonprofit organization that believes there is hope in unity, and that together, we can build a safe, sustainable future.

But we can't do it without your help.

If you enjoyed what you’ve just read and would like to see more, please consider making a generous gift to support our ongoing work to fight climate denial and support solutions.
