    Durban: What you can do

Durban, South Africa is one of the featured locations in 24 Hours of Reality.
Once you learn how the reality of climate change is impacting Durban, here’s how you can help.

The Climate Reality Project has partnered with Food & Trees for Africa, a South African social enterprise that promotes and facilitates climate change action, food security and sustainable natural resource use and management. The group was founded by Jeunesse Park, our Climate Presenter in South Africa for 24 Hours of Reality.

On September 24, join Food & Trees for Africa as they plant 1,000 trees in Soweto. This day of volunteer work will start at Maponya Mall at 10:00 a.m. and continue to an open space on Msilinga Street. Join the fun and make a difference — every tree you plant will improve the local environment, and also help solve the climate crisis by taking carbon out of the atmosphere. But we can't do it without your help.
