    Kotzebue: What you can do

Kotzebue, Alaska is one of the featured locations in 24 Hours of Reality.  Once you learn how the reality of climate change is impacting Kotzebue, here’s how you can help.

The Climate Reality Project has partnered with the National Wildlife Foundation, America’s largest conservation organization. NWF works with more than 4 million members, partners and supporters in communities across the country to protect and restore wildlife habitat, confront global warming and connect with nature.

We invite you to visit the NWF website and comment on the government’s plan to open the pristine Arctic Ocean to oil and gas development. With the extreme effects of climate change already being felt in the region and the impossibility of cleaning up another large oil spill, we should be searching for cleaner energy solutions instead of furthering our addiction to oil and greenhouse gas pollution.

    Before You Go

At Climate Reality, we work hard to create high-quality educational content like blogs, e-books, videos, and more to empower people all over the world to fight for climate solutions and stand together to drive the change we need. We are a nonprofit organization that believes there is hope in unity, and that together, we can build a safe, sustainable future.

But we can't do it without your help.

If you enjoyed what you’ve just read and would like to see more, please consider making a generous gift to support our ongoing work to fight climate denial and support solutions.
