    Victoria: What You Can Do

Victoria, British Columbia is one of the featured locations in 24 Hours of Reality.  Once you learn how the reality of climate change is impacting Victoria, here’s how you can help.

The Climate Reality Project and its sister organization, The Climate Project Canada, have partnered with the David Suzuki Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting our climate by ensuring that Canada is doing its fair share to avoid dangerous climate change and is on track to achieve a safe level of greenhouse gas emissions.

The David Suzuki Foundation and The Climate Reality Project now invite you to petition the Canadian government to end subsidies to fossil fuel companies. Each year, the federal government gives away $1.4 billion in subsidies to oil and gas companies. These companies are making huge profits and are Canada’s fastest growing source of carbon pollution.

Learn more about fossil fuel tax breaks here. And click here to contact your elected officials and tell them to stop subsidizing oil and gas companies and invest our money in a cleaner and safer energy future.

But we can't do it without your help.
