    Chicago Metro, IL

The Chicago, IL Chapter was one of the first chapters in the country established in October 2017. The chapter is a diverse mix of trained Climate Reality Leaders and climate-concerned public members ready to get into action. Since the beginning, the chapter has plugged into local coalitions, including the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition, where they work on regional issues and state policy. The chapter was part of a small team that wrote and secured Chicago’s commitment to 100 percent clean energy in buildings by 2035. On the state level, the chapter’s current campaign focus seeks Illinois’ commitment to 100 percent clean energy by 2050 via the Clean Energy Jobs Act, a bill introduced in Springfield in 2019. Of course, the chapter is a resource for regional presenters providing monthly calls, local resources, and support for successful outreach on the climate crisis. The chapter has a solid leadership team with a core group of grassroots volunteers ready to incorporate your energy. Join us at an upcoming monthly meeting. Our calendar and more details can be found on our website, and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

    DePaul University: Campus Corps Chapter

The DePaul University: Campus Corps Chapter is a dedicated group of student climate activists taking action on campus. This Campus Corps chapter has made significant progress in it's What About DePaul? campaign, by creating an entire investigative documentary on the campaign. In April 2019, the chapter also played an integral role in committing the city of Chicago to 100 percent renewable energy by 2035 by marching, lobbying, and writing countless letters to public officials to make the transition happen. We’re looking forward to seeing what they’ll do next. If you attend DePaul University, be sure to opt-in!

    Northern IL

The Northern IL Chapter is a dedicated group of climate activists. The chapter formed in 2018, with a group of five individuals interested in moving the needle in their own backyard. The chapter is currently focused on presentations, getting monthly climate op-eds published, and being a convening space for other green groups and movements in the area. We’re looking forward to seeing what they’ll do next. If this is your local chapter, be sure to get involved!
