The Northern New Mexico Chapter is a dedicated group of about 35 climate activists from the Albuquerque area and Northern New Mexico. The chapter started as a small group in early 2019, and have been growing in numbers since. Members range from very seasoned Climate Reality Leaders who were trained at the first Climate Reality Leadership Corps trainings over a decade ago, and who have been instrumental in advancing renewable energy efforts in New Mexico, to relatively new members who became trained Climate Reality Leaders in the past year or two, who are learning and leading with enthusiasm. The chapter also welcomes members from the community who are ardent climate activists. All chapter members bring their own unique skills and experience to engage with the community and policy makers through presentations and pro-climate advocacy. During meetings, the chapter shares new ideas and skills, and finds ways to gain synergy and act on climate. If you are interested in climate actions, and live in New Mexico, you are welcome to join, regardless of whether you’ve attended a Climate Reality Leadership Corps training.
