Ellie is an intern for the science and solutions team at the Climate Reality Project. She is an environmental science student at the University of Portland, with a biology concentration and minor in constitutional studies. Her extreme interest in bridging the divide between science and policy drew her into this field of study, with her love of socio-ecological research tethering her there. She is curious about all things environmental, and when not brainstorming ways to combat the intersectional issues that arise from climate change, can be found kayaking, backpacking, climbing, running, and mountaineering around the Pacific Northwest. Having worked previously as a backpacking guide, docent at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, and as a student researcher, she loves gaining experience from a plethora of fields. Ellie is stoked to be a part of The Climate Reality Project and is ready for the months of learning and growth to come.
