This is the year you can make a real difference when it comes to climate change. Right here, right now. And we’re going to show you how.
After years of hard work and preparation, the decisive moment has arrived, the world is watching, and it’s time to deliver. What can you personally do?
The US government has officially submitted its initial commitment for COP21. The commitment, known as an intended nationally determined contribution, or “INDC,” is the culmination of a long process including everything from a historic joint agreement with China to landmark policies at home.
In December 2015, world leaders were scheduled to meet in Paris for the UN’s COP 21 climate conference. On the agenda: a historic global agreement to cut greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change before it was too late.
What was COP 21? Why were the UN climate talks happening in December 2015 in Paris, France, so important? And what can you do about it? Morgan Freeman gives you the details on why this meeting was really your meeting.
After years of wrong turns and failed attempts to address the climate crisis at the international level, a turning point was finally in sight. We had to act.
In response, we launched the Road to Paris campaign to raise awareness of the stakes at COP 21 on a planet-wide scale and give people everywhere a say in negotiations that carried profound implications for our shared Earth. By connecting digital outreach, live media programs like 24 Hours of Reality, organizing events across US college campuses, and many, many more initiatives over nearly a year, Road to Paris brought together over 2.2 million citizens from Philadelphia to the Philippines to call on world leaders to act boldly and decisively at COP 21 with a strong agreement to limit emissions.
All around the world, people are seeing the reality of climate change and speaking up with one voice and one message for their leaders: Now is the time for you to act.

Know Tomorrow was a student-lead campaign where thousands of students at over 60 colleges around the United States came together to demand a global response to climate change.
Thanks in part to pressure from our Road to Paris supporters and climate activists worldwide, 195 countries signed the Paris Agreement, creating the first truly international framework for concerted action to stop climate change. Now our work continues to ensure leaders live up to their commitments and make the promise of the Paris Agreement a reality. And we will.
Today is the day to pick up your #ClimateHope and be happy for our future. Here’s how to spread the joy.
