STATEMENT FROM KEN BERLIN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE CLIMATE REALITY PROJECT, ON TODAY’S EXECUTIVE ACTIONS BY PRESIDENT TRUMP

Today, President Donald Trump signed executive actions that would move plans for the Dakota Access and Keystone XL pipelines forward. President and CEO of The Climate Reality Project Ken Berlin released the following statement in response:

“Building pipelines to the dirty energy of the past is not the leadership we need. It is time for us to invest in the renewable energy of the present and the future to protect our families from the worst effects of the climate crisis. These executive orders are shortsighted and we will be redoubling our efforts to stop these expensive and unnecessary projects designed to enrich polluters instead of putting America first.”
