(She/her) Raquel joined Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision (SDEV) in the fall of 2019. At Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision, the SDEV team works on improving air quality by gathering truck traffic data and working with fleet project partners to implement low to zero-emitting vehicles through grant-funded purchasing projects and the passing and enforcement of City of Detroit ordinances monitoring air quality, and by reducing the emissions that truck traffic causes in neighborhoods through EPA purchasing projects and City of Detroit ordinances. SDEV also works on beautification and clean-up projects as well as with coalitions on nitrous oxide or whippets use, and land use policy.
