Abigail Washburn is a Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, clawhammer banjo-player, and mother of two based in Nashville, TN. Her musical projects range from her string band, Uncle Earl, to her bilingual releases “Song of the Traveling Daughter” and “City of Refuge,” the mind-bending “chamber roots” sound of the Sparrow Quartet, and her banjo-zither collaboration with guzheng virtuoso Wu Fei. Washburn’s first collaborative record with her husband, Béla Fleck, won a 2016 Grammy for Best Folk Album. Abigail’s efforts to share music exists within a hope that cultural understanding and the communal experience of beauty and sound will lead the way to a richer existence. www.abigailwashburn.com
