Don’t Let Fossil Fuel Lobbyists Obstruct COP 30 Negotiations

Fossil Fuel Advocacy

2025 is already on track to be one for the record books, but we’ve just broken another alarming climate precedent.

The Kick Big Polluters Out coalition just revealed that a record-breaking 1,600-plus fossil fuel lobbyists are in attendance at the United Nation’s COP 30 climate summit in Belém, Brazil – outnumbering nearly every country delegation.

Meanwhile, frontline communities and Indigenous peoples that face the worst of the climate crisis are still underrepresented in these high stakes talks.

The oil and gas companies that these lobbyists represent have one goal: To keep burning the fossil fuels that line their pockets.

By infiltrating COP delegations from countries around the world, they’re doing all they can to delay the global energy transition and stymie our progress.

Send an urgent message to your COP 30 country delegation: Don’t let fossil fuel lobbyists interfere with climate negotiations in Belém.

Climate Reality will deliver the letter to COP 30 country delegations on behalf of the signatories and share the total number of signers globally and the countries represented. To protect those who live in countries where they may not feel comfortable speaking up to their government, no personal information will be shared with letter recipients.
