Urge EPA: Don’t Deny the Danger of Greenhouse Gases
The Environmental Protection Agency has proposed rescinding the endangerment finding – the backbone of federal climate protections.
The 2009 endangerment finding found – as we know to be true – that greenhouse gas emissions pose a threat to American health and well-being. It crucially provides the legal foundation for many federal safeguards related to greenhouse gases, including vehicle emission standards, methane emission standards for the oil and gas sector, and power plant pollution under the Clean Air Act.
Repealing this finding would dismantle federal protections currently cutting harmful pollution and saving lives across the country. Not to mention, it blatantly goes against scientific fact and the lived experience of everyone dealing with climate-fueled disasters across the globe.
Tell EPA to face reality and preserve the endangerment finding and the essential climate protections it supports.
