Currently, Dr. Batjargal Zamba is working as the science advisor at the Information and Research Institute for Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia and as a visiting professor at the Cuo University (Japan). He is leading the research activities for preparation of the national communication reports to the UNFCCC. Dr. Zamba for the period 2015-2022 was serving as the special envoy on climate change, national focal point for the UNFCCC. He was the minister of the environment from 1990 to 1996 and director-general of the National Agency for Meteorology and Hydrology from 1996 to 2001.
