Chimguundari Navaan-Yunden is a career diplomat with almost 20 years of experience working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. Having worked in the Embassy of Mongolia in Paris and in the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the UN, she was appointed as ambassador-at-large and director of the Preparatory Office for the UNCCD COP 17 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia since July 2024. Chimguundari brings to this position a solid experience in both multilateral and bilateral diplomacy. From October 2023 to June 2024, she worked as an intergovernmental specialist at UN Women. Between 2019 and 2023, she held the position of counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations in New York.
