Serving as regional director for the Amazon at Palmares Laboratório-Ação, Kimberly dos Santos Silva was born in Pará. She is 27 years old, and is a biologist and socio-environmental activist. She works with the implementation of projects in socio-environmental communities. She has been working for over seven years with youth movements and mobilizations within her territory. Kimberly discusses gender, climate justice, and environmental racism, focusing on the Amazon and anti-racist climate adaptation. In 2024, she was recognized as one of Prudential’s Young Visionaries of Brazil and received the Young Visionaries award. She was a delegate at COP 28 and COP 29 and is building pathways for the democratization of COP 30 together with networks and civil society.
