Maria da Graça de Oliveira Carlos has a bachelor's degree in accounting (UFC/|CE). She has 14 years of management experience at financial institutions in Brazil, including the Caixa Econômica Federal. Maria has a master's degree and doctorate in business administration (UNIFOR/CE), specializing in strategic scenarios and socio-environmental and financial performance of companies. Her teaching experience includes coordinator of undergraduate and graduate courses, and researcher in strategies for sustainability and sustainable finance at Estácio Ceará (18 years). Maria is an activist on climate issues and advocacy in education for climate change and climate justice. She has worked to pass the state law for the inclusion of climate education - Ceará (Law 18.955/2024). Maria is a Climate Reality Leader at The Climate Reality Project Brazil (2022); RAI; and a climate mural facilitator (2025).
