Javier Dávalos

Javier Dávalos González is a lawyer specializing in the international climate regime, environmental law, and human rights. He holds master’s degrees in Population Sciences and Development (Université de Louvain, Belgium) and in Human Rights and Democracy (UASB, Ecuador). He coordinated AIDA’s Climate Program, where he advanced the Climate Litigation Platform for Latin America and the Caribbean, and has led Latin American civil society organizations at the COPs and SBs of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement. He also served as Director of Human Rights at Ecuador’s Ministry of Justice.
