Joana Amaral is a forest engineer with a master's degree in development, society, and international cooperation, and a diploma in advanced studies in environmental education. She has over 20 years of experience in project and program management at the Brazilian Ministries of Education and Environment, and in facilitating participatory processes, management, and governance in international organizations, NGOs, and networks. She has been the executive coordinator of the Climate Observatory since 2019.
