Juliana Baptista Pereira was born and raised in Magalhães Bastos, in the West Zone, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. She is a social scientist from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and a member of the Realengo Agenda 2030. She has a master's degree in social memory, also from UNIRIO, and her dissertation addressed memory disputes in Realengo. Juliana recently graduated from UERJ with a degree in urban sociology. She works professionally as a project coordinator, territorial mobilization coordinator, and research coordinator.
