Marinel Ubaldo Streit is a climate justice advocate whose career spans grassroots organizing, international diplomacy, and policy advocacy. She serves as regional field director for the NCLCVF's PowerUp NC Program and co-founded the Institute for Youth in Climate Diplomacy, holding a master's in environmental management from Duke University. She sits on the Global Witness Advisory Board and Climate Tracker Board, and has represented Filipino communities at the UNFCCC’s COP 21 and COP 25 through COP 28. A petitioner on the National Inquiry on Climate Change and Climate Reality Leader trained by Al Gore, she led an Amnesty International campaign generating 528,070 actions for Super-Typhoon Haiyan survivors.
