In 2021, Munkhtuul Chuluunbaatar earned a PhD in anthropology at the School of Anthropology, Central University of China, with a focus on kinship, the state, and religion in China. Munkhtuul’s primary research areas include the study of kinship, family, politics, and religion in Mongolia and China.
