Dr. Oyun Sanjaasuren is the director of partnerships and resource mobilization at Green Climate Fund, the largest multilateral climate fund. Since 2018, she led the fund’s work on partnerships, communications, and advocacy as well as spearheaded the fund’s resource mobilization and replenishment efforts. Previously, she served five consecutive terms as a member of Parliament in Mongolia, including as minister of foreign affairs and minister of environment and green development. Oyun was elected as the first president of the United Nations Environment Assembly, a governing body of UN Environment (2014-2016), and as a chair of the Global Water Partnership, a global multi-stakeholder partnership of more than 3,000 partners promoting water security.
