Guilherme Syrkis is the executive director of Centro Brazil no Clima (CBC) and The Climate Reality Project Brazil, where he drives the organization's mission to address climate challenges in Brazil. He combines his role at CBC with his PhD studies at the University of São Paulo's Institute of Energy and Environment (USP-IEE). Syrkis holds a master’s degree in energy & environmental policy and international development from the University of Chicago, and was awarded with an Obama Foundation full scholarship. He has also completed an executive education program at Harvard Kennedy School in Leadership & Decision Making. Syrkis has served as a special advisor to the Minister of Mines & Energy (2016-2019) and as a member of the board of directors.
