Sybil Azur

Sybil Azur is a writer, filmmaker, community organizer, and mother of two. Sybil served as writers’ researcher for ABC/Shondaland’s “Station 19,” where she co-wrote and produced the show’s 99th episode. She adapted the novel “Why?” into a screenplay, executive produced and directed the documentary “Pushing Motherhood,” and is a current Women in Film writing fellow. Sybil is also a former actress and seasoned professional dancer who has performed with the likes of Beyoncé, Reba McEntire, and Michael Jackson. She was the 2022 recipient of The Climate Reality Project's Green Ring Award, served as an assembly delegate to the California Democratic Party, and was a long-time board member for Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives.
