Alejandro Sobrera Barboza
Diversity and Justice Associate
(He/They) Alejandro is the diversity and justice associate for The Climate Reality Project. He was born in Uruguay and moved to California at the age of five. He became active in environmental activism by starting the Orange County hub of the Sunrise Movement. While at Sunrise, Alejandro worked to get the city of Irvine to commit to 100% renewable energy and helped stop the Poseidon Desalination Plant from being built in Huntington Beach. Alejandro has also studied in Beijing and Taipei where he learned to speak Mandarin.
