Hi, all! My name is Alyssa Poppers, and I’m excited to join the Climate Reality team as the Executive Office Intern this summer! I am a rising junior, pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

Both in my course studies and outside of class, I do a lot of food sovereignty work, particularly via my position as Director of Community Outreach for the Madison branch of Food Recovery Network. In my free time, I enjoy anything that gets me outdoors, lifting, watercolor painting, cooking, and reading.

I’m from New York, and I’ve done environmental field work across Long Island. (Feel free to ask me for park recommendations if you ever plan to visit!) I’ve visited DC a handful of times, and I’m very excited to be back for the summer. I look forward to working with you all!
