Áurea Carolina de Freitas e Silva is a mother, activist, former parliamentarian, and executive director of NOSSAS, an organization dedicated to strengthening democracy with a focus on climate, racial, and gender justice. With a master's degree in political science and recognized as one of the 100 most influential young Black people in the world in the field of politics and governance (2019), she was part of the Lula administration transition in 2022, contributing to the restoration of the Ministry of Culture.
