Bertha Letsoko is a dynamic person, passionate about social justice, climate activism, and social entrepreneurship. With diplomas in public relations and paralegal studies, she has focused her career on strategically fostering relationships to advocate for socio-economic and climate issues. Bertha has experience in co-creating renewable energy solutions through youth training, helping young people to show initiative towards creating solutions for the energy crisis while serving their communities. She has also led artivism workshops that focused on amplifying the voices of youth by addressing concerns such as unemployment, power cuts, and climate change, to show the interconnectedness between social justice and climate justice. Bertha is the founder of Thari Entsho — an NGO based in Naledi, a township in Soweto — that focuses on rewriting the broken narratives of the identity of the Black youth, such as hosting developmental workshops that are tailor-made to show sustainable and tangible impact in the lives we work with. Her motto is “lived experiences are the true north to sustainable solutions.”
