Dorothy Aseyo Asuza is the current executive director of the Green Belt Movement. She is an environmental and sustainability practitioner with over 15 years of successful experience in ecological sustainability, inclusive transformative leadership, and strategic ability to support an environmental conservation leadership agenda driven by a strong commitment to equitable environmental conservation and social justice with love.  
She previously served as the chief of party, regenerative seascapes – Western Indian Ocean region by MI/IUCN, deputy country director of CARE International Kenya, and global gender cohort advisor at CARE International USA.
