Prof. Dr. Edvin Aldrian is a researcher and meteorologist from Indonesia. He is a research professor in the field of meteorology and climatology at the Indonesia National Agency for Research and Innovation (BRIN). He is vice chair of Working Group I of the IPCC and the Southeast Asia and Southwest Pacific representative for UN-IPCC. As a researcher, he has 9643 citations and an H-index of 40. He won the Habibie Award and Sinta Award in 2018 and the Indonesian Presidential Bintang Jasa Pratama Award in 2023. From 1993 to 2009, Aldrian worked as technical implementing staff in modification technology) at BPPT. In 2009, he served as head of BMKG's Center for Climate Change and Air Quality and served as head of BMKG Research and Development Center until 2016.
