Gabriela Cabaña is a sociologist and anthropologist who holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her expertise is in environmental justice, with a particular focus on energy infrastructures. She is currently a project manager in the advocacy and environmental democracy department at Ciudadanía Inteligente, a Latin American NGO that works to strengthen democracy in the region. She has researched the Escazú Agreement and the risks of deepening extractivism for human rights. She is also a member of the Pacto Ecosocial e Intercultural del Sur.
