With a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and a master’s degree in transportation planning and engineering from the University of Leeds, Gonggom brings over 8 years of experience from prominent transportation companies worldwide. Before joining Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP)  

in 2022, he worked in Qatar supporting the government in implementing various public transport projects. Gonggom joined ITDP as Transport Manager prior to his appointment as the Southeast Asia Director in 2024, where he spearheaded programs aimed at promoting the utilization and integration of public transport, as well as sustainable transportation practices across Indonesia and the Southeast Asia region.
