Jannata (Egi) Giwangkara is the Indonesia country lead at Climateworks Centre, an independent nonprofit bridging research and climate action within Monash University. He leads the organization’s strategy and program delivery, advancing critical climate solutions across energy transformation, industrial decarbonisation, and ocean-based climate actions aligned with Indonesia's national priorities. Egi has a distinguished career in climate mitigation and energy policy and previously served as energy transformation program manager at the Institute for Essential Services Reform. He has also successfully managed vital climate and energy projects alongside major international development agencies (UNDP, USAID, GIZ) and began his career at DNPI.
