Lutfiya Wanjiru
Africa Digital Campaigns Manager, 350Africa.org
“Until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter.” Guided by this proverb, Lutfiya (Lut) Wanjiru helps the world’s “lions,” smallholder farmers, activists, and frontline communities to own their narratives. She launched her career in Nairobi by founding a creative ad agency, then shifted to nonprofit communications, leading campaigns across Africa. Her storytelling framework is now used internationally by TechnoServe, and her campaign recruitment drive drew 3,000 people to food-safety trainings. As Africa digital campaigns manager at 350.org, she steers REPower Afrika, crafting multilingual strategies, mentoring activists, and pushing policy toward climate justice and community owned renewable energy.
