Mohamed Adow is the visionary founding director of Power Shift Africa, a Nairobi-based think-and-do tank driving climate action across Africa and amplifying its voice globally since 2018. An internationally recognized climate policy expert and fervent climate justice advocate, he draws on deep personal experience of climate impacts in his native Kenya. Prior to founding Power Shift Africa, Mohamed served for over a decade at Christian Aid, where he led global climate policy, and helped found the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA). He holds an MSc in global energy and climate policy from SOAS, University of London, and received the prestigious 2020 Climate Breakthrough Award in recognition of his work.
