Sofía Serrano has a degree in communication and digital media from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Santa Fe Campus, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in marketing and advertising at the Universidad Iberoamericana. Throughout her career, she has combined narrative creativity with digital strategy to promote campaigns with purpose and generate impact from communication. 
 
She has worked as a commercial copywriter, scriptwriter, broadcaster, and podcast producer in production houses such as Nodalab and Puentes, and participated in the creation and digital adaptation of the exhibition “Tic Tac: Climate Change Is Now” at the Museum of Memory and Tolerance. Since 2022, she has been part of The Climate Reality Project Latin America, where she currently serves as engagement and alliances leader. 
 
In this role, she coordinates and strengthens a regional community of more than 5,600 people committed to climate action, creating spaces for training, exchange and active participation. In addition, she leads the construction of strategic alliances with organizations throughout Latin America, with the aim of amplifying the reach and effectiveness of networked climate actions. 
 
Sofia has participated in high-impact regional campaigns such as Invest on the Planet, in collaboration with TikTok for Education and UNEP; Our Common Challenge, together with CANLA to promote citizen participation in the updating of countries’ nationally determined contributions (NDCs); and Operación COP, strengthening alliances to bring the voice of young Latin Americans to the UN Conference of the Parties (COP). She is currently leading the Climate Cafés initiative, a series of citizen meetings that take place in nine countries in the region and that seek to open spaces for conversation, reflection and mobilization on NDCs, bringing climate policy closer to people from the everyday and local perspectives.
