Tasha Mwanakalando

Tasha Mwanakalando (she/her/hers) is joining The Climate Reality Project’s International Team as an International Program Coordinator. With experience in the nonprofit sector, Tasha is passionate about the logistics behind mission driven work and providing support to ensure that programs/systems are reaching their intended objectives. Before joining The Climate Reality Project, Tasha worked as the Student Success Coordinator at Literacy Pittsburgh providing administrative and program support in maximizing opportunities and resources to address adult education barriers. She also served as a Co-Chair for Literacy Pittsburgh’s DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access) Staff Engagement Committee. In addition, Tasha has worked as a Case Manager and Employment Counselor at AJAPO (Acculturation for Justice, Access, and Peace Outreach) where she helped immigrants and refugees acclimate to life in the United States. Currently, Tasha is pursuing a Master of Public and International Affairs in Human Security at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Tasha spends her free time singing, trying new vegan/vegetarian recipes, hiking, and daydreaming about traveling to Bali, Indonesia.
