Sara Larraín
Director, Chile Sustentable Foundation; President, Red de Santuarios de la Naturaleza (RM)
Sara Larrain is the director of the Chile Sustentable Foundation and the president of the Red de Santuarios de la Naturaleza (RM). She served on the board of the Chilean Agency for Energy Efficiency (2014–17), the 2050 Committee for the Update of the Energy Policy, the Long‑Term Climate Strategy Advisory Committee, and the Strategy on a Just Socio‑Ecological Transition Advisory Committee (2024). She contributed to the design of the following public policies: Renewable Energy Law (2008), Residential Generation Law (2012), Energy Efficiency Law (2018), Water Code Reform (2022), Framework Law on Climate Change (2022), and Biodiversity Service Law (2022). She also participated in the round tables on phasing out coal-fired thermoelectric power plants (2018–24).
