Sharing results from our recent email survey.

We say this a lot, but that’s because it’s true: to make progress on fighting the climate crisis, we have to fight together.

Because this is our climate moment. Our chance to end the climate crisis and build a healthy and just nation for all. And we can’t afford to waste it.

A little over a month ago, we asked supporters like you what tools and resources would be most helpful for tackling climate action in 2021 with us, and thousands of you shared your thoughts.

The biggest takeaway?  People want to take action, right now. (Same.)

The vast majority of respondents – a whopping 85% – most wanted "online actions you can take at home to protect our climate and public health (petitions, sign-on letters, and more)," with additional suggestions for resources on how to get more politically engaged by writing letters to members of Congress, canvassing, and more.

If you haven’t joined our email list already, we encourage you to sign up today so you can be the first to hear about our online actions. And if you’re committed to taking regular climate action in your community, we invite you to join your local chapter to take action on the ground or attend one of our upcoming Climate Reality Leadership Corps trainings.

When it comes to other resources like e-books and fact sheets to further your knowledge about climate crisis – or as a tool to share with friends and family who may need a refresher – over 60% of respondents were most interested in learning more about the climate crisis and jobs.

At a time when millions are unemployed or underemployed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we couldn’t agree more. A just transition could help create millions of great jobs in numerous industries, both new and old. For this to happen, however, major changes at the federal level will be required.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more ways for you to plug into our federal campaign that is building pressure on elected officials to take bold climate action and ensure all of our voices are heard in demanding a cleaner, greener, more-just future. But the best way to join in right away is by joining your local chapter or attending our upcoming Climate Reality Leadership Corps training which is focused on driving federal climate action in the US.

Survey respondents also expressed a strong interest in a new e-book resource on the future of the climate crisis and what we can expect. We hear you – we’re working on a brand new e-book on this, and we’re excited to share it with you soon.

We’re grateful for so many of you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re so excited to continue to take climate action with you in 2021 and beyond.
