Luciano is a geologist, master’s of science student, and climate negotiator from Chile. Since 2018, he has been working on social and environmental initiatives at different levels, including several projects with local communities and schools, regional governance and policy management, and as part of national processes like the Constitutional Convention and the creation of a national strategy on just transition. In 2023, through the Operación COP programme, he was selected as a young negotiator from Chile. Since then, he has participated in all UNFCCC sessions (including Conference of the Parties and Subsidiary Bodies summits), leading the just transition track both for Chile and the Independent Association of Latin America and the Caribbean (AILAC), and participating in other tracks such as finance and arrangements for intergovernmental meetings.
