(She/Her/Hers) Taína is the Scholarships and Grants Associate in the Partnerships Department at Climate Reality. Born and raised in New York, she graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies and Spanish Literature & Language with a minor in Biology. Her interest in the environment began at young age after learning about the flora and fauna in her family’s homeland of Puerto Rico. Prior to The Climate Reality Project, she worked and advocated for youth and environmental organizations in the Bronx, where she has strong roots. She also conducted novel research in the Bronx River where her and her team studied microplastics and the American Eel species. In her free time, she likes to read thriller fiction, travel the world, thrift cute clothes, foster animals, and play with her cats Beanie and Tasmania.
