Tell the Biden Administration: Reject the Willow Project

ConocoPhillips wants to build the single-largest oil extraction project on US federal lands, capable of producing over 180,000 barrels of oil each day at its peak. We simply can’t let it happen. 

Known as the Willow Project and located in Alaska, this project would spew over 280 million metric tons of planet-warming carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Right when scientists warn any new fossil fuel infrastructure will make meeting global climate goals all but impossible. 

Our community has already shared thousands of comments with the Bureau of Land Management to reject this project, but we can’t back down now. 

The Biden Administration has set bold goals to reach net zero emissions by 2050. Approving the Willow Project would not only be in conflict with those goals but push us closer to catastrophic climate change.
